About

This site is intended to discuss topics of Software Asset Management from the perspective of “dear diary” entries. I intend to use some fitting “Sententiae Latinae” as far as that is possible. The reason for Latis is simple, the maxims are my guiding starts very often, and as many IT dorks, nerds or geeks, I found answers in books and some of them were about ancient philosophers who very often stated something which is just as true today as it was thousands of years ago.

It will serve both purposes of ventilating, and sharing of knowledge. The scope covers all and any SAM activity, from inception to disposal.

Some trusted and experienced SAM professionals might be invited to participate. There will be topics touching law, procurement, administration, technology, processes, procedures and some other difficult-to-define categories. Solutions might also appear after a time, but the primary objective is to discuss and inform (not to mention the ventilating part).

Thank you beforehand for reading, commenting, discussing, participating, sharing. Please abstain from profanities and nonconstructive comments.

As Sam the builder focuses on building, so will we. Tearing down is done all over the Internet anyway, so please feel free to do so elsewhere.

Thank you
